Our Origin Story

Like all the best things in life, Secret Valley wasn’t planned—

It was born from a spark, a moment, and a wild idea that refused to stay small. If you’d told me back then that a simple birthday gathering would grow into the thriving community we have today, I probably would’ve laughed. But life has a funny way of unfolding when you follow what feels right.

And so, with nothing but a dream and a few like-minded souls, we began to build. It all started in 2017 when I found myself deep in the Nevada desert, wide-eyed and electrified at my very first Burning Man. That week flipped my world upside down. It wasn’t just the music, the art, or the sheer scale of it all—it was the feeling. The radical freedom, the deep connection between strangers, the overwhelming sense that anything was possible. I knew, in my bones, that I had to bring a slice of that magic back home.

Two years later, as my 30th birthday rolled around, I wanted to do something different. No big party, no flashy celebration—just an excuse to gather my favourite people in the Aussie wilderness and see what we could create together. No big stages, no production—just a handful of humans, a campfire, and an open invitation to step into something bigger than ourselves. And something clicked.

By the end of the weekend, it was clear—we had started something special. People weren’t ready to let it go. Someone asked, “So, are we doing this again next year?” and in that moment, the answer felt obvious.

“Bring a friend, throw in $100, and let’s see what happens.”

And just like that, Secret Valley was born.

By 2020, it had already outgrown its humble beginnings. The rain came, the cold bit deep, but we didn’t care—we danced, we built, we dreamed. It wasn’t just an event anymore; it was a community. A space where creativity runs wild, where the dance floor is alive, and where deep human connection fuels everything we do.

Now, five years later, Secret Valley has evolved into something bigger than any of us imagined—an immersive world that blends mind-blowing music, transformational experiences, and a community-driven ethos unlike anything else. We’ve co-created something truly special, and as we step into our fifth year in 2025, I can’t help but feel that we’re just getting started.

So, whether you’re a seasoned co-creator or stepping into the valley for the first time, know this: you belong here. This is your home, your playground, your blank canvas to bring your wildest ideas to life.
